Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Technician or Technologist to join the TSA team at Tryon Central Laboratory, located in Charlotte, NC. The role schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00am–6:30pm, with duties spanning specimen acceptance, testing, instrumentation, and quality controls.

Minimum qualification is an Associate's degree in a chemical or biological science, with ASCP or AMT certification preferred. The position emphasizes accuracy, independence, and teamwork in a high-volume lab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Chemical/Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations and CLIA standards.
• Familiarity with LIS and routine lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of specimens for testing per SOPs.
• Perform routine and complex procedures according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for patient care.
• Perform preventative maintenance and QC procedures.
• Assist with processing of specimens as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and PPE usage.
