Job summary

Patients Emergency Room & Hospital seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform essential lab services, report findings, and participate in quality control. The role supports specimen management, instrument calibration, and adherence to CLIA/COLA requirements in a busy hospital setting.

Under supervision of physicians and the Laboratory Manager, you will maintain equipment, document procedures, and ensure patient safety while delivering high-quality laboratory services and responsive customer care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in medical technology or related sciences preferred.
• 1 year hospital setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen management, transport, tracking, and storage.
• Ensures compliance with manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains lab instruments and documents QC procedures.
• Transcribes and records data from instruments and certified personnel.
• Maintains records for CLIA inspections and regulatory audits.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
• Responds to inquiries and supports supply monitoring and inventory.
