Job summary

Prisma Health Keystone Family Medicine is seeking a Laboratory Technician to conduct and support diagnostic testing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to SOPs. You will process specimens, report results, and maintain data in lab systems with a focus on quality control and safety.

The role operates day shifts within Keystone Family Medicine, contributing to high standards of care and teamwork across the Prisma Health laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology.
• No experience required.
• In lieu of degree, clinical CLA or DD214 military medical laboratory training with certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing for waived, moderate, and high complexity procedures as assigned and per SOPs.
• Operate laboratory data systems; review pending work and ensure specimen integrity.
• Verify identification of patient, specimen and results; follow SOPs for collection and handling.
• Participate in QC and QM; monitor inventory and supplies; document issues.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and document maintenance; escalate as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with Prisma Health policies.
