Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or higher.
• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology preferred.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred; state licensure may be required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Conducts laboratory testing and reports results for waived to high complexity procedures.
• Verifies patient and specimen identification and proper handling.
• Participates in QC and QM activities, monitors inventory and implements SOPs.
• Operates and troubleshoots instrumentation; maintains equipment and performs calibration checks.
• Ensures compliance with Prisma Health policies and applicable regulatory standards.
• Assists with competency assessments and training of staff and students.
