Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent Medical Laboratory Technology program meeting ASCP/AMT requirements.
• In lieu of education/experience, a Bachelor's degree plus a certificate/diploma in Medical Laboratory Science may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and stat laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment with precision and accuracy.
• Operates instruments, evaluates QC results, and reports values legibly.
• Verifies patient/specimen IDs and properly labels specimens.
• Instructs new staff and documents proficiency and training progress.
• Maintains clean work area, monitors supplies, and observes safety protocols.
• Documents results, completes required reports, and communicates critical values per policy.
