Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or equivalent Medical Laboratory Technology program.
• Experience: None defined.
• In lieu of education/experience: Bachelor's + MLS/medical training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine lab analyses with precision and accuracy.
• Operates instruments and QC procedures and evaluates results for validity.
• Verifies patient/specimen IDs and properly labels specimens.
• Instructs new employees and students at bench level; reports training issues.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and monitors supply expiration dates.
• Reports critical results per lab policy and documents verbal reports.
