Job summary

Actalent in Charlotte, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform routine and moderately complex clinical testing in a fast-paced lab. You will ensure accurate, timely results while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires an associate degree, CLIA compliance, and the ability to operate laboratory instruments. Experience in hematology, chemistry, or microbiology is valued; licensure or ASCP/AMT certification may be required depending on

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a science field required.
• Must meet CLIA, state and local requirements for Medical Laboratory Technicians.
• 1–2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred.
• ASCP and/or AMT certification preferred; may be required by state/facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and moderately complex laboratory testing per SOPs.
• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain instruments.
• Document and report patient test results within established turnaround times.
• Conduct QC/QA activities and preventive maintenance.
