Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Cambridge Hospital Laboratory is seeking a dedicated full‑time lab professional to perform a narrow range of procedures under supervision. Responsibilities include phlebotomy for adults and children, quality control, patient registration, specimen processing, slide preparation, and point‑of‑care testing.

On‑call duties and potential site rotations are included. Hours are 40 per week with an 8:00am–4:30pm schedule and evenings, holidays, and on‑call shifts as

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy on adult and pediatric patients.
• Quality control and routine technical work under supervision.
• Registration of patients and specimen processing.
• Preparation and labeling of slides and specimens for testing.
• Handling of storage and transport of specimens.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on adults and pediatric patients.
• Conduct quality control and basic technical tasks under supervision.
• Register patients and process specimens for testing.
• Prepare and label slides and surgical/cytology specimens as required.
• Perform point-of-care waived testing.
• Answer department phone calls and assist with logistics.
• Transport supplies from storage and maintain stocked work areas.
• On-call responsibilities; may work at additional CHA sites.
