Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at UAB St. Vincent's East in Birmingham, AL. This role operates on a 7 x 10 hour night shift schedule (9:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

A strong foundation in chemical/biological sciences is required to perform routine and advanced laboratory procedures. Responsibilities include specimen acceptance, instrument maintenance, reagent testing, and timely reporting of results to support patient

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a chemical/biological science required.

Responsibilities

• Determine specimen acceptability for testing per SOPs.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper function.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Maintain quality control and preventive maintenance.
• Assist with processing of specimens as needed.
