Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join the team at UAB St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham, AL. The role supports testing, quality control, and instrument maintenance to deliver accurate patient results.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.
• 2+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience (ASCP or AMT certification preferred).
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and standard safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
