Job summary

LCH Lab. Corp. of America Holdings is looking for a Technologist to join their team in Birmingham, AL. The position involves responsibilities such as determining specimen acceptability, performing technical procedures, and ensuring proper instrumentation functionality.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 1 year of clinical testing experience, and the ability to work in a high-volume laboratory. A sign-on bonus is available for external candidates.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience or an MLS degree.
• Understanding of laboratory operations and policies.
• Experience in a high-volume laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Report accurate and timely test results.
• Document preventative maintenance and quality control.
