Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician II (MLT) at St. Francis Eastside. The role performs routine tests on blood and tissues, delivering quality results while upholding patient safety and confidentiality.

The position requires an MLT credential pathway including AS in MLT or qualifying education, three years in a clinical lab, and certification eligibility with ASCP or equivalent. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates of Science in Medical Lab Technology required.
• 60 semester hours (including six hours of chemistry and six of biology) and completed Medical Lab Technician Program.
• Completed a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course within the past ten years.

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens following procedures.
• Evaluates specimen acceptability and recognizes abnormal results.
• Performs quality control and ensures results are accurate before release to physicians.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and monitors equipment temperatures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
