Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician in Ohio to perform routine to highly complex lab tests and verify results for physician decisions. The role requires active engagement in quality control, instrument maintenance, and team training.

The candidate must hold MLT certification or be eligible by ASCP; an accredited medical lab program and relevant coursework are essential. Travel and varying shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• All items listed in Education must be completed as part of minimum qualifications.
• Experience in clinical lab settings is preferred.
• Certification as MLT or eligible by ASCP is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine, moderate, and highly complex lab diagnostic tests.
• Confirms test results and provides data for physician decisions.
• Follows quality control programs to ensure accuracy.
• Performs, records, and evaluates Quality Control.
• Monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots lab instruments.
• Assists training of new employees and students.
• Performs LIS/HIS data entry and usage.
• Participates in continuing education.
• Assists with inventory control.
