Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Current certification: MLT (ASCP)CM or MLT (ASCP).
• Military 50-week program may substitute for degree.
• Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification or eligibility if phlebotomy duties are included.
• Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive specimens and establish positive identification.
• Determine specimen suitability or reject if needed.
• Prepare reagents as needed.
• Perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
