Job summary

MultiCare Capital Medical Center in Olympia, WA is seeking a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to perform a dynamic range of laboratory tasks, from patient analytic testing and quality control to data analysis and problem resolution.

The role involves receiving specimens, ensuring proper identification, assessing specimen suitability, preparing reagents, and conducting instrument maintenance. The position supports an on-call schedule with shifts that may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required.
• Current Certification of Medical Laboratory Technician, MLT (ASCP)CM. or MLT (ASCP) is required.
• 50 week military program in lieu of associate's degree may be accepted.
• Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification or eligibility if phlebotomy duties will be included.
• Minimum one (1) year of previous laboratory experience preferred.

FTE: 0.001_, Shift: Variable_, Schedule: on call schedule, coverage could include all shifts ( days, evenings, nights, weekends etc.). Shift hour varies from 5-10 hours.

Position Summary

• You will acquire/prepare reagents as needed
• You will perform instrument maintenance and calibration

Requirements

• Associate degree

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $28.91 - $47.78 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
