Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field is required.
• 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Support Tech II, or 2 years in a health care setting with UR Medicine lab exposure.
• Ability to interpret requisitions and patient data with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Log patient and test data into the LIS and EMR systems.
• Verify requisitions and ensure required fields are complete.
• Receive and triage specimens; reconcile batch manifests.
• Prioritize specimens to meet turnaround times and document discrepancies.
• Train staff and act as Tech in Charge as needed; troubleshoot equipment.
