Job summary

• Minimum 4 years of related laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the assigned laboratory section(s).
• Plans daily work schedule and assignments for section(s) ensuring timely reporting.
• Supports managers in preparing schedules and coverage.
• Monitors turnaround times and investigates corrective actions.
• Ensures testing complies with system and regulatory standards.
• Serves as technical resource for staff in problem solving and incident reports.
• Develops, trains, and evaluates lab staff; participates in hiring.
• Suggests improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Performs and verifies staff competencies.
• Performs other related duties as required.
