Job summary

mycts is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Specialist (CLS) to perform routine high complexity testing of biological specimens under direct supervision. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely test results within a team environment.

The CLS will maintain required competencies, document thoroughly, and adhere to SOPs and CLIA standards while supporting performance improvement initiatives and staff training as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry required.
• CLIA high complexity testing requirements.
• Appropriate state licensure and/or certificate where applicable.
• Evidence of advanced clinical laboratory competency and testing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine high complexity testing of biological specimens in compliance with SOPs and regulations.
• Maintains accurate records and ensures confidentiality of donor, patient, and employee information.
• Communicates with customers, vendors, and couriers to assure quality service and timely results.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment, reports issues, and coordinates service when needed.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and training programs; assists newer staff as needed.
