Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Technologist to perform complex lab tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology and more.

You will analyze specimens, operate and maintain instruments, ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance, and contribute to education of laboratory staff and students; a strong scientific foundation and meticulous attention to detail are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Chem, Phys or Bio, and ASCP, NCA or HHS cert.

Responsabilités

• Direct observations of routine patient test performance, including patient identification and preparation.
• Monitor recording and reporting of test results.
• Review quality control records and proficiency testing results.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments.
• Provide teaching and education to clinical laboratory staff and students.
• Evaluate and recommend instrumentation and testing procedures.
• Follow safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
