Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct observations of routine patient test performance and sample collection handling.
• Monitoring the recording and reporting of test results.
• Review of test results, quality control records, and proficiency testing results.
• Direct observation of instrument maintenance and function checks.
• Assesses test performance through various samples.
• Performs quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of test results.
• Analyzes patient samples according to approved standards of testing.
• Maintains equipment to ensure accurate results.
• Provides teaching to laboratory personnel.
• Follow safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contributes to efficient lab operation.
• Participates in continuing education.
• Assists in purchasing and inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and disaster response protocols.
• Evaluate and recommend new instrumentation or testing procedures.
• Act as group leader and coordinate staff workflow.
