You will ensure accuracy, timely reporting, and regulatory compliance while operating and maintaining automated instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Strong scientific foundation expected.
• Advanced technical proficiency in lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reports waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens adhering to SOPs to ensure accurate reporting.
• Provides patient care through clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of caregivers of critical values within turn-around times.
• Maintains major automated equipment through calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting; contacts vendors for repairs.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records of test parameters.
• Performs proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leaders.
• Assists in evaluation and documentation for validation of new procedures and equipment.
