Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, MLS, or related science.
• Current Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license in the applicable state, or trainee permit with license within 90 days of hire.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB generalist certification within 90 days of hire (ACMC settings).

Responsibilities

• Perform, develop and interpret routine and specialized laboratory testing accurately within time frames.
• Perform quality control and instrument maintenance; document actions and escalate as needed.
• Adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards; ensure safety and proficiency testing compliance.
• Participate in performance improvement; assist in data collection and inventory management.
• Adapt communication style for privacy and patient-centered care; maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned; follow all policies and standards.
