Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health seeks a Clinical Lab Scientist for the Point-of-Care Lab in South OKC. The role involves performing routine diagnostic tests under supervision, handling specimens, and maintaining lab equipment on a day shift.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years in a clinical lab, an MLT or science degree, and relevant certifications. The position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science coursework as specified.
• Experience not required beyond 0–3 years in a clinical or laboratory setting.
• Certification from ASCP, AMT, AABB, NASKL, ASCLS, HHS, ASHI, AAB, ABB, AMS, CRP, EBPH, Military or NILA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and nonwaived lab testing promptly per hospital policy.
• Follow safety policies and use PPE as required.
• Participate in quality monitoring, documentation and improvement activities.
• Handle specimens, record data in the OUH lab informatics system.
• Maintain instrument calibration, perform QC, and document maintenance.
• Complete competency assessments and assist with inventory.
