Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist for the POC Lab in South OKC/ Freestanding ED. The role performs waived and nonwaived tests under supervision, ensuring accurate results and compliance with safety policies.

Your responsibilities include specimen handling, data entry in EMR, instrument troubleshooting, quality control, and participation in competency and inventory activities. A lab tech degree and national certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in medical laboratory technology.
• 0–3 years in clinical or lab setting is required.
• Nationally recognized certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and nonwaived laboratory testing promptly according to policy.
• Maintains safety and PPE procedures in line with policy.
• Records data in the OU Health informatics system including demographics and test results.
• Documents instrument maintenance and quality control activities.
• Participates in competency assessments and inventory management.

Associate Degree in MLT
