Job summary

UC San Diego Health's McGrath Infusion Center seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join the Infusion Stat Laboratory. Under general supervision, performs a wide range of laboratory tests from specimen procurement through data reporting to support diagnosis and treatment.

Outpatient stat lab operates seven days a week with two 10-hour shifts. This is a part-time appointment requiring California CLS licensure and relevant clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from college with a major in a relevant field.
• Must have a current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
• Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of laboratory tests by manual methods or automated devices.
• Procure specimens and analyze data to support detection, diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
