Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform waived, moderate, and high complexity testing across Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Microbiology, and Blood Gas in the Rapid Response Lab. You will evaluate results, maintain QC, calibrate equipment, and provide timely, safe lab services while supporting customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from college with a major in a relevant field.
• Clinical Laboratory Scientist license issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.
• Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures.
• Performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting; provides lab services in a timely manner.
• Serves as a technical resource for customers and other staff; adheres to safety policies.
