Job summary

DHR Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist for PRN shifts in the BV Laboratory. You will perform complex laboratory testing, ensure quality control, and coordinate with lab staff to meet testing timelines.

The role requires a strong foundation in CLS procedures and the ability to work bilingual in English and Spanish. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Applied Sciences and achieve ASCP certification within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Applied Sciences required.
• ASCP certification or equivalent within one year of hire required.
• Proficient knowledge of clinical laboratory processes, testing and analytical procedures.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Promote the facility mission, vision and values to staff and patients.
• Develop and establish procedures for collecting and analyzing biological specimens.
• Perform analytical tests of body fluids, blood, serum, plasma and cells.
• Verify results and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate laboratory data.
• Oversee work of lab assistants and phlebotomists and provide instruction as needed.
• Participate in continuing education and staff training.
