Qualifications

12 months training in a structured program with clinical internship in a hospital setting.
Must adhere to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; report issues to Compliance Officer.
CLS(MLS), MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), MT(AMT) certification within six months of hire; participate in Certification Maintenance Program.
Certification Maintenance Program required for techs certified as of 2004; failure to participate will invalidate certification after 3 years.

Responsibilities

Receive and analyze laboratory specimens and report results in a timely manner.
Participate in and help evaluate Quality Control, Quality Assurance, maintenance and safety programs.
Maintain parts, reagents and supplies in assigned areas.
Evaluate and write procedures for new methods; participate in teaching and continuing education; involvement in supervisory activities.
Perform other related duties with minimum supervision.
