Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Applied Sciences is required.
• ASCP certification within one year of hire is required.
• Proficient knowledge of clinical laboratory processes, testing, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in daily work.
• Develops procedures for collecting, processing, and analyzing specimens.
• Performs analytical tests on body fluids, blood, and other substances with quality control.
• Oversees work of Lab Assistants and Phlebotomists; provides instruction as needed.
• Instructs new employees and students in clinical laboratory responsibilities.
