Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Applied Sciences required.
• ASCP M.L.S. certification or equivalent within one year of hire required.
• Proficient knowledge of clinical lab processes, testing and analytical procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of directing work of Medical Technologists and lower staff.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Promote the facility mission, vision and values to stakeholders.
• Develop procedures for collecting, processing, and analyzing biological specimens.
• Perform analytical tests of body fluids, blood, serum, plasma, cells, and other substances.
• Integrate data from various clinical labs and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures and correct issues.
• Confirm abnormal results and execute quality control procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Train and supervise Lab Assistants and Phlebotomists.
