Qualifications

• CLS I – No experience required.
• Proficiency in high-complexity testing and compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA.
• Ability to lead and support testing quality and procedural standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence as a Phlebotomy Technician with proper specimen collection, processing and transport.
• Maintains analyzer functionality, test analysis, QC/QA, calibration, maintenance and reporting of results including critical values.
• Performs organism identification and antimicrobial sensitivities per CLIA high-complexity requirements.
• Monitors inventory of testing supplies and identifies opportunities for cost and productivity improvements.
• May provide input in hiring, orientation and education; may lead improvement projects and assess staff competence.
