This position is responsible for high complex laboratory testing, understanding clinical relevance of test, quality assurance and complex problem solving skills and some lead responsibilities. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to Hematology,
Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, transfusion medicine, rapid and molecular testing and microbiology. This position is responsible for assisting with department compliance and all pertinent laboratory accrediting agency and regulatory requirements
(e.g., CLIA, CAP, OSHA).

CLS I - No experience required
CLS II - Must have 4 years of experience in high complexity testing
CLS I - Must have a Bachelor of Science in the Chemical, Physical, Biological Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology. Mustqualify un CLIA as laboratory testing personnel for high complexity testing.
CLS II - Must have 4 years experience in high complexity testing and must qualify as a Technical Supervisor under CLIAguidelines.
CLS requires 10 hours CE annually
