Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support clinical testing and specimen handling at our Allentown facility. You will perform CLIA moderately complex tests, input results into the Laboratory Information System, and assist with instrument troubleshooting under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 2 years in a clinical setting; an A.S. degree or related training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; Two years in a clinical environment with data processing/specimen handling experience.
• Language Ability: Read/write simple English, present information to customers/employees.
• Math Ability: Basic arithmetic and data interpretation.
• Reasoning Ability: Follow instructions and solve concrete problems.
• Computer Skills: Proficient with Laboratory Information System and other software.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare specimens for transport and analysis under supervision.
• Perform CLIA moderately complex testing and enter results in LIS.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and document in logs.
• Calibrate pipettes and thermometers per SOPs.
• Prepare reagents/controls and label specimens accurately.
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies.
• Assist in training new staff and students.
• Participate in CSI and continuing education activities.
