Job summary

National Jewish Health in Denver, CO is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Scientist to perform high-complexity tests under supervision and to produce accurate patient results while adhering to QC policies, instrument calibrations, and biosafety standards.

You will troubleshoot assay problems, maintain equipment, document corrective actions, manage data packets, participate in proficiency testing, and assist inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or related field is required.
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of biosafety standards and GMP/GxP basics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-complexity tests as authorized by laboratory leadership.
• Adheres to quality control policies and documents QC activities, calibrations and maintenance.
• Troubleshoots assay problems or instrument malfunctions and performs maintenance with supervision.
• Reviews and signs SOPs and completes NetLearning in a timely manner.
• Manages data entry and preparation of data packets and proficiency testing records.
• Supports inspections and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintains inventory and stocks of supplies as directed.
