Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist within one year of graduation or hire.
• CAHEA-accredited MLS program or CFR 493.1489-qualified pathway.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests following policies and procedures.
• Notify physicians of critical lab values immediately.
• Maintain QA/QC and proficiency testing, document all activities and take corrective action as needed.
• Calibrate and operate laboratory instruments; prepare specimens for testing and shipping.
