Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, is hiring a Certified Laboratory Scientist to perform high complexity testing across Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology.

You will adhere to CA regulatory requirements, maintain quality control, and ensure accurate reporting of patient results. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in a biological/medical field, CA CLS license, and at least one year of high complexity testing experience or approved internship.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum one-year work experience performing high complexity testing in hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology, or approved internship.
• Training or work experience must cover all areas of the clinical laboratory.
• Requires current and valid California State License.

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity tests in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology and related disciplines.
• Adhere to lab procedures, quality control policies and document corrective actions when test systems deviate.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor or Medical Director as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in biological science, chemical, physical, biological science, Medical Laboratory Technology and/or equivalent
