Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, microbiology, chemistry, biology or related field.
2+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
Must meet CLIA requirements for High Complexity Testing.
Ability to work independently and remain analytical under stress.
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
Experience with LIS and fast-paced clinical lab workflows.

Responsibilities

Follows procedures for specimen handling and processing and reports patient test results.
Ensures correct identification of patient name and specimen number.
Maintains specimen integrity from collection to test completion.
Maintains quality control and calibration records for instruments.
Communicates with nurses and physicians and collaborates with a team.
Participates in proficiency testing and regulatory compliance.
