Job summary

Sutter Health’s SSL-Sutter Shared Lab-Bay seeks an experienced Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist to execute procedures in assigned lab areas, delivering accurate results and ensuring high safety and regulatory compliance. The role covers phlebotomy, specimen processing, QA/QC, and a range of testing per CLIA standards.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and CLSL-CA license prior to start date, with 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required prior to start date.
• CLSL-CA license required prior to start date.
• 2 years of recent relevant experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of routine specimen collection, preparation, testing applications, laboratory operations and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Execute procedures in assigned laboratory areas to deliver accurate results.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, quality control and quality assurance.
• Perform waived, moderate or high complexity testing as CLIA permits.
• If Transfusion Service, manage blood inventory and blood product preparation.
• Adhere to local/state/federal regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety.
