AdventHealth in Celebration, FL, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the clinical laboratory team. The role includes pre-analytical processing, testing, and reporting results, with duties spanning equipment maintenance and staff support.

The candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a lab science and have 2+ years of clinical lab experience; CLIA equivalency may apply. The position is part-time with a day shift and hourly pay ranging from $26.08 to $48.50.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• CLIA equivalency may be required if field of study does not match.
• 2+ years of clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, supply stocking, specimen collection, processing, cleaning, and disinfection of lab equipment and spaces.
• Conducts post-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including reporting results and providing technical support.
• Completes tests and analytical procedures according to SOPs.
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to regulations and policies.
• May act as a preceptor to facilitate orientation and training to new employees and students.
• Offers guidance to technicians and support staff, resolving customer service issues within guidelines.
