AdventHealth in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a per diem Laboratory Technician to perform pre- and post-analytical lab duties on a night shift. Responsibilities include specimen handling, testing, reporting results, and assisting with training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical lab science or medical technology.
• 2+ years clinical lab experience preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, inventory control, specimen collection, processing, cleaning and disinfection.
• Conducts post-analytical activities such as reporting results and providing technical support.
• Completes tests and procedures accurately according to SOPs.
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to regulatory policies.
• May precept and train new staff and students, documenting appropriately.
• Works to improve lab performance and educate clinical staff as needed.
