Job summary

AdventHealth Celebration Laboratory is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to join our clinical team in Celebration, Florida. The role supports pre-analytical and analytical lab processes, reports results, and helps maintain high-quality patient care standards.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, FL license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, and 2+ years of lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical lab science, or CLIA-equivalent.
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required.
• 2+ years clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, supply stocking, specimen collection, processing, cleaning and disinfection.
• Conducts post-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including reporting results and providing technical support.
• Completes tests and analytical procedures accurately per SOPs.
• Participates in proficiency testing and adheres to federal/state regulations.
• May supervise/mentor new staff and support education of clinical crew.
• Follows safety policies including PPE usage and hazardous waste handling.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and evaluates new lab techniques.
