Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist physicians with procedures in the Fredericksburg offices. You will perform phlebotomy, run lab tests, maintain QA logs, and support patient care with accuracy in an on-site laboratory setting.

You will also document results in EMR, assist with bone marrow procedures when needed, and travel to different clinic locations to meet business needs while maintaining patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control procedures before patient testing.
• Perform laboratory blood work and phlebotomy tasks.
• Prepare slides for evaluation and handle specimen processing.
• Assist physicians with medical procedures and patient care.
• Document testing results and charge for services in EMR.
• Maintain logs, inventories, and QA/QC records per regulations.
• Follow safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Travel to other AON locations as required.
