Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science.
• 4+ years of experience to include high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting.
• 2+ years in a role with progressively increasing responsibilities (quality control, lead technologist, or technical specialist).
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Identify regulatory requirements to ensure CLIA, CAP, OSHA compliance and other applicable laws.
• Oversee staffing, training, evaluation of competency, and ongoing educational development.
• Supervise laboratory personnel and provide on-site consultation.
• Evaluate equipment and supply needs and manage budget-related expenditures.
• Ensure proper purchasing of supplies and equipment and monitor usage.
• Review test procedures and establish performance characteristics; ensure accurate reporting and corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain Quality Management and Quality Control programs and monthly reviews.
• Sign training records and develop training checklists.
• Directly observe routine patient test performance and ensure timely reporting of results.
