Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a Lab Operations Leader to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinical laboratory. The role emphasizes documentation quality, QC, and inventory management to support patient care.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of MT/MLS/MLT/HTL/HT/CYT/CT credentialing, or a Master’s with 1 year of credentialed experience, including one of CT/HTL/MT/MLS/QCYM. Leadership and regulatory expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of laboratory experience or credentialed MT/MLS/MLT/HTL/HT/CYT/CT.
• Master's degree with 1 year of credentialed MT/MLS/MLT/HTL/HT/CYT/QCYM experience.
• One of CT, HTL, MT/MLS or QCYM credentials is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the clinical laboratory for timeliness and accuracy.
• Ensure completeness of documentation, quality of work and quality control.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and partner with leadership to improve satisfaction and efficiency.
• Train and supervise new employees and students; conduct appraisals and address issues.
• Support regulatory compliance and help standardize operations across facilities.
• Work with other departments to resolve issues and reduce costs while meeting goals.
