Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of progressive post-baccalaureate biomedical laboratory experience.
• At least four (4) years of direct supervisory or management experience in a CLIA-compliant clinical or anatomical pathology lab.
• Thorough knowledge of laboratory operations, healthcare administration, and management systems.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, quality control, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee laboratory diagnostic and therapeutic services and ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain instrument performance and coordinate maintenance and service agreements.
• Oversee inventory and supply chain to prevent disruptions.
• Monitor productivity and adjust staffing to maintain efficiency.
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement programs and proficiency testing.
• Hire, train, and develop laboratory personnel and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Educate staff and physicians on testing methodologies and clinical relevance.
• Prepare reports to support departmental and organizational objectives.
