Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological/clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• ABHES/CAAHEP accredited clinical laboratory training or equivalent required depending on pathway.

Responsibilities

• Manages the clinical laboratory's operations and leads technical staff.
• Schedules staff and monitors workflow for efficiency.
• Acts as liaison with other lab departments and hospital services.
• Selects, hires, trains, and evaluates associates.
• Investigates occurrence reports and implements corrective actions.
• Performs testing and data interpretation with critical thinking.
• Leads lab quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Follows safety policies and proper waste handling.
