AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Services professional responsible for phlebotomy leadership, staff coaching, and program oversight. The role focuses on performance improvement, safety, staffing, and student clinical experience within a hospital laboratory environment.

The position requires Associate level education, 2+ years related laboratory experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Phlebotomy experience and specimen collection knowledge.
• Ability to problem solve and exercise judgment under supervision.
• Reads, writes, and speaks conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement activities, resolves customer service issues, evaluates new equipment and procedures, and monitors staff performance.
• Assists department leadership with staffing, interviewing, orientation, training, coaching, mentoring, and competency assessment.
• Coordinates and facilitates the clinical experience of students in affiliated education programs.
• Leads safety initiatives; enforces PPE use and hazardous chemical handling; ensures training compliance.
• Oversees pre-analytical lab activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
• Provides testing support information for all age groups and assists scheduling and workload management.
