Job summary

Bio-Techne is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support daily Clinical Laboratory operations in Austin. The role includes accessioning, batching, reporting, and maintaining documentation, while ensuring compliance with CAP, CLIA, NYS, and GCP standards.

Responsibilities include inventory management, invoicing, equipment scheduling, and preparation of final reports for billing. Strong MS Office and database skills are required; a relevant degree is preferred with 0–2 years in a clinical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in a chemical science, biological science, or business administration discipline.
• 0-2 years of previous experience in patient intake, clinical customer service, or a laboratory setting preferred.
• Experience working in a regulated clinical environment preferred.
• Familiarity with CAP, CLIA, NYS, and GCP regulations preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database management systems.

Responsibilities

• Client Services duties including sample check-in, resolution of discrepancies/missing information, accessioning and batching, report send-out, and addressing client questions
• Equipment management including ensuring proper equipment maintenance per manufacturers, schedule planned maintenance with vendors, and schedule or perform validations as needed
• Monitors inventory levels of laboratory reagents, kits, controls, and consumable supplies; performs periodic inventory audits; initiates purchase requests; receives and verifies shipments; and maintains inventory records in accordance with laboratory quality requirements
• Collects and processes payment for self-pay lab testing; works with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely monthly invoicing
• Management of records for clinical reports and equipment records
• Assist with CLIA, CAP, and New York State regulatory activities
• Identify potential areas for improvement and establish methods for improvement
• Other duties as assigned
