Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Olympia Fields Hospital seeks a Lab Director to oversee the clinical laboratory and multiple departments—administrative, financial, compliance, quality improvement, technical and personnel activities. This role provides operational guidance to local site management and ensures system-wide standardization.

The Lab Director will ensure CLIA, CAP, TJC, and ACHC compliance, partner with Corporate LAB OPS for LIS and policy alignment, and drive KPIs in finance, quality and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field required.
• CLS/MLS license or ASCP equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory clinical lab experience.
• General accounting and statistics in financial operations.
• LEAN Six Sigma certification preferred; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the clinical laboratory and multiple departments.
• Provide operational guidance to local site management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, TJC, ACHC).
• Promote standardization and KPI achievement across labs.
• Perform routine laboratory testing as needed.
