Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced laboratory support professional to provide clerical, registration, and patient care assistance. Responsibilities include specimen collection, accessioning, and processing, with potential phlebotomy duties.

The role supports waived laboratory testing and consistent documentation. The position requires a high school diploma and prefers ASCP certification and CPR certification for Offsite Lab sections.

Formación

• One year of clinical laboratory/medical experience and office experience preferred.
• Two years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Completes specimen accessioning, preparation, processing, delivery and storage.
• May include phlebotomy and other specimen collection.
• Performs clerical tasks and accessioning per testing protocols.
• Maintains equipment by performing maintenance, quality control, and preventive maintenance.
• Performs waived laboratory testing, documents reports and QC.
• Upholds applicable laws and regulations governing the position and laboratory operations.
• Documents daily/weekly/monthly tasks on area lists.
• Delivers service excellence and adapts communication to diverse cultures; researches issues and resolves problems.
• Provides useful feedback and supports mutual respect and inclusion.
• Participates in continuing education programs.
